No.8 mirror polished sheet can be combined with other DECO’s surface finish to generate a wide range of surface effects on stainless steel.
It can be easily bend, fabricated, punched ,formed and sheared without chipping and cracking
It is a consistent , non-directional finish sheet, an ideal material for panel-to-panel matching.
It is a fire resistant material, provide additional protection in case of fire as stainless steel has a metlting point of 2750 F
It creates light and space with reflectivity, unlike glass mirror, it is easily fabricated and has more application because it will not shatter.
Selection of Stainless Steel Grade
Stainless steel grade: 304, 316L , 430 are available.
Decorative Stainless Steel Sheet is usually in Grade 304, which is sufficient to prevent corrosion. Grade 316 should be used near the seacoast. Low carbon versions of these grades(304L/316L) should be used when parts are to be welded, 430 is a slightly lower grade than the 300 series and is commonly used for applications when the metal needs to hold a magnet. more details in chemical composition and common properties of material.
